“I think the initiative is good, people like cupcakes. Hopefully, they like reading more though,” Price says.

The Race2Read initiative is a district-wide initiative to encourage students to read, many homerooms were within the top ten percent of homerooms to read the most hours. Those in the top ten percent were rewarded with cupcakes.
